The sound isolation of the Etymotic ER 6i Black Headphones is absolutely ridiculous. Sound canceling ear buds!? Seems impossible? While they’re not fully sound canceling, they are quite good at isolating sound, leaving you immersed in your music, not in your commute or ambient sound. One large problem with many headphones is their inability to actually stay on your head (seems ironic right?) Upon first glance of the elegant Sennheiser 595 HD I was sort of shocked. I guess I didn’t know what to expect when I got my trial pair to review. I figured for the price, which originally was listed well over $300 these better be some damn fine headphones. Let me tell you, they’re worth every penny. I usually don’t cave in and buy headphones too often but these are an exception. First lets have a quick rundown of their features:
Okay so enough of that, what can these babies really handle? Where do the Sennheiser 595 HD headphones really excel? The one thing that primarily jumped out was the sound quality. Now I know everyone says “these are the best sounding blah blah blah” but damn. I mean I wanted to put on every band I know to see what I’d been missing all this time. It was honestly like listening to music all over again, and now I can’t pry them off because I constantly want to test them on this band or that band.
The Sennheiser 595 HD use a new E.A.R. technology that reduces total distortion through compressed cellulose to give you the pinnacle in crisp sound ranging up the frequency scale. These headphones deliver the highest in sound quality and come as close to “hd sound” as I’ve ever heard (if there really is such a thing.) I’m still blown away by these headphones. They are literally “The Perfect Headphones.” I can wear the Sennheiser 595 HD for 6-7 hours and have them still feel comfortable.
